Biography[]

Season Three[]

He was hired to make certain the identity of the Man in the Iron Mask was kept a secret. Eventually Philippe of France encountered him in the Bastille. The Governor was burning any loose ends to protect the identity of the Man in the Iron Mask, even by killing a petty criminal named Macquart, and making him appear to be the Duc de Sullum, who Philippe was obsessed with finding. He was interrogated by Philippe and Marchal on the matter of the Man in the Iron Mask after a dagger with the Latin engraving 'Diavolo Mors' was discovered by an abandoned cottage outside Paris where one of his guardsmen was killed. When he confronted Alexandre Bontemps about Philippe of France and Fabien Marchal pursuing their investigation, Bontemps determined he no longer had the Governors confidence and stabbed him in the stables.

Notes[]

  • The name of the real governor at that time was François de Montlezun, but he was‘nt killed.
