Just like Bastien, he too, despises the King and his new tax law. After a riot that left Jean-Baptiste Colbert injured, he, Tristan, and several peasants were arrests. When the prisoners were released, he, on the other hand, was brought to the town square, thrown on his knees, and had a spear with 'Justice' pinned to it nailed through his upper body by Hugues on the orders of Fabien Marchal.
